- When filming on the green screen, the more even lighting you have, the better results
you will see when replacing the background in the editing software.
Make sure to light the green screen evenly, and make sure there are no folds in the cloth.
- Try to place the camera in a position so that the green screen takes up the entire picture.
This way you will have an easier time replacing the background in the software.
- Your camera must be plugged in for the software to work.
This was done intentionally to prevent software piracy.
- Please do not use copyrighted materials in your videos.
You may find that digital media from certain sources may be protected with something called DRM,
or Digital Rights Management.
This prevents you from using those files, typically music, in videos.
This is typical with media purchased online.
- When you first run the software CD, chances are it will ask you to download an updated version of the software.
This file may come as a zip file. You will need to extract it using the free software that initially came with your computer.
You can usually unzip the file by saving it to your desktop, right-clicking the file, and choosing to extract files.
There are many free programs for download at www.download.com if you are still having trouble.
- If you are having trouble with your videos, you may need to download DirectX 9.0®. Many versions of Windows already have this.
This is a free, commonly used update from Microsoft™ that many websites and software programs require. You can download it for free from
www.microsoft.com/downloads.
- You can check www.riproarmedia.com for updated video tutorials on all different aspects of creating videos.
- If your video preview appears blurry, try wiping the lens with a soft, clean cloth or tissue.
- Create multiple clips and compile them into one project as Background Tracks to create movies with multiple scenes.
- Be creative. Use old home movies, family photos and whatever you can find in your videoes.
